Reception Venues

One of the first things you should do in the process of planning your wedding is choose a reception venue. The good ones must often be booked about a year in advance, so hurry! The reception venue to choose should reflect the formality of your wedding. If you are going to have a formal and traditional wedding, a reception at a classy hotel would be appropriate, while an informal wedding would rather call for a more simple and relaxed reception venue. In other words, reception venues basically set the tone of weddings.

The most traditional reception venues are hotels, restaurants and catering halls. Some non-traditional reception venues include gardens, beaches, parks, and having a reception at home. It is very important to choose a reception venue that suits your and your groom's personalities. Your budget will, of course, also affect the type of reception venue you can choose. Having a reception at a traditional reception site, such as a classy hotel or restaurant, is much more expensive than having it at home, for example.
